Peanutbutter and Jelly

I bought these shoes a month or so ago and was really weary about wearing them out as 1. They are nude and 2. They are suede. Alcohol does not bode well with either of these two things, and so they stayed in their box for a good couple of weeks after purchase. I decided to let them venture out for a special event last week as I figured that it would be a very respectable evening. Little did I know that dinner and wine would turn into cocktails and partying… (ok ok maybe this is a regular occurrence for myself, but I had only good intentions!) So to cut a long story short I came home and my very pretty shoes were no longer recognisable! I had given up all hope (almost) and then came across a blog post by Olivia Palermo. Her advice… Take an emery board and gently rub the suede from side to side until the marks slowly disappear. Magic!

I am now very much back in love with my shoes thanks to Olivia!

Once upon a time I borrowed a bright orange shade of lipstick from my flatmate for a night out, and instantly fell in love with everything about it. The colour was vibrant and just made my lips pop. They looked full, moisturised and it stayed put all night, even after food, drinks and hours of partying. There was also no nightmare of granny teeth (awkward lipstick on teeth situation.) I just couldn’t believe how good the quality of a single lipstick was! So the next time I was near a MAC store I decided to invest in a lipstick for the daytime. After about half an hour with a shop assistant, I came away with Faux.. which I love. Then last week, I thought it was about time that I bought another shade to add to my collection for wearing on nights out. I described to the shop assistant what I wanted, and she immediately picked up Impassioned. It was fate. I have worn it twice and have had countless compliments! After always thinking that I was not really a lipstick kind of girl.. MAC and Impassioned have definitely changed my mind!

I have a wedding to go to this summer and am in desperate need on a dress to wear! I have been asked to wear either red or black but I find black far too depressing for a wedding so have opted for red! After spending a good couple of weeks searching I have finally found this gorgeous dress from Jones and Jones for £60. It is so pretty and girlie, I think it’s perfect. I just hate the fact that I have to buy before I can even try it on. Wish it would come back into stock at Topshop!

I recently bought this Cath Kidston bag (one on the left) as a thank you gift for my boyfriend’s mother to put all of her knitting things in. I have since fallen in love with it and now want one for myself for all my sewing bits and pieces that I need to take to uni. It has two compartments, one for bulky items and one for flatter things which is basically perfect. I just can’t decide if I should buy one because it’s £35 and I already have a cath bag (which I rarely use.) I have however found the one on the right on ebay which is considerably cheaper. VERY tempted!

I LOVE this bag. I am so tempted to buy it in time to start my fashion buying internship, as it will literally fit my life into it. However, I cant decide if I should just hold out until I visit New York in August.. I mean I already have about a kazillion bags. Hmmm?
